Meta, the parent company of Facebook, announced in January 2023 that it would be laying off 10,000 employees. This represented about 3% of the company's global workforce.

2. Lyft:  

Lyft, the ride-sharing company, announced in May 2023 that it would be laying off 1,000 employees. This represented about 12% of the company's workforce.
