Candidates who pass over the SSC CGL Tier II Exam are eligible for the SSC CGL Tier IV Exam, you have to get through two tests in SSC CGL tier IV Exam, one is CPT and the other is DEST.
SSC CGL Tier IV Exam: CPT/DEST details
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT):
CPT includes three modules Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Generation of slides.
- Word Processing: You will be given an English passage 2000 key depressions has to be made in 15 minutes. This is not a very challenging task if you practice typing daily.
- Spread Sheet: In this module, Students will be given to performing basic Mathematical Operations like Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division on Microsoft Excel sheet. Students should know basics of Microsoft Excel.
- Slides Generation: In this module, students will be asked to make slides on Microsoft PowerPoint. Students must have knowledge of Header, Footer, Inserting Date & Time and basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)
Every year SSC organizes the SSC CGL exam through which non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non-gazetted posts in various Ministries/ Organizations/ Departments..
- DEST involves only typing test in which students have to make 2000 key depressions 15 minutes. This is the test which you can pass easily with practice.
